Eczema & Psoriasis

Chronic Eczema and Psoriasis can be debilitating due to the itchiness and pain. Cortisone cream suppresses eczema and in the long-run causes a worsening of the condition which can spread to cover much of the body. There are many varieties of eczema and they can be caused by pathogens in the liver feeding off excess copper from such sources as: pipes, water, soft drinks, IUDs, food, soil, air and pesticides. Eczema can also start as a skin dermatitis aggravated by exposure for example on the hands to irritating foods (tomatoes, raw fish, cheese, water, etc.) or creams or other skincare products containing irritating chemicals or ingredients including fragrances.

DDT pesticide was used extensively in the early 1900s and this toxin has been passed on through the generations compromising liver function and exacerbating eczema and psoriasis. The way to detoxify this highly destructive chemical is by cleansing the liver and following a detoxification diet for a period of time. During the detox it is important to avoid such foods as: meat, fat and oil, mayonnaise, dairy and eggs which prevent the liver from functioning optimally and slow down the toxin and heavy metal filtration process. When the liver is sluggish toxins will spill into the blood stream and digestive tract leading to more health problems.

Helpful herbs for detoxification are dandelion root, dandelion leaf, milk thistle and artichoke.

Helpful supplements for Eczema and Psoriasis are Zinc, Alpha lipoic acid, B complex, MSM, multi minerals and probiotics.

With the skin being dry and irritated taking a clean source fish oil or vegetarian EPA DHA will give the skin moisture. Topically, many salves and ointments are aggravating but Calendula ointment and Emu oil may be helpful.

Eat organic whenever possible and otherwise clean all produce thoroughly with a vegetable wash or food grade hydrogen peroxide and white vinegar to remove pesticide residues.

The most healing foods for the skin are spinach, kale, arugula, sprouts, avocado, watermelon seeds, sweet potato, winter squash, hemp seed, burdock root, fresh aloe leaf juice, curcumin or turmeric.

Alcohol-free Skullcap tincture is quite beneficial for the skin and is taken internally.

The following herbs ingested a tea for skin support include calendula, peppermint, chamomile, burdock root, rose hip, rose petal and nettle leaf. Burdock root, as with all roots and dried mushrooms, needs to be boiled and simmered for an hour or longer then strained for the medicinal liquid to be used.

By following a clean diet, detoxifying the liver and removing heavy metals with a heavy metal detox protocol and feeding the skin with the above herbs and nutrients, we are able to heal skin conditions rapidly.
